LOOP. A PROJECT OF URBAN NARRATION
The project Loop comes from the idea of a "cyclical exploration" of the city, which seamlessly runs through the contemporary city, the historic city and the ravine. The project area, where the three intertwine, becomes the setting for a complex urban narrative where the different architectural interventions aim to give shape and image to the local identity and its substrata, to give life to a system of communities within the community, to outline an urban landscape of squares in squares, to sew together different parts of the city, connecting and enhancing the exceptionality of the cite.
The first objective to gain is producing a new kind of communities through cooperation, synergy and co-presence of diverse users and urban actors. The idea was to consider all those elements in the city that catalyse people flows (historical building heritage, schools, voluntary associations, even unused buildings) and connect them in three different "urban loops", referred to the identity themes of history and art, colture and education, and landscape.
At the intersection of the thematic urban loops, the areas and nodes recognised acquire greater strategic value, as places where the relationship between the daily community life and the tourist population are potentially, intensified. The following framework of strategies represents a guide that has led to the definition of architectural interventions.
